[JOLSE] Rivecowe Bubble Mask Pack Review

DSCN4796.jpg

Jolse sent me three of the Rivecowe Bubble Mask Packs! On the Jolse website, this mask is described as “A bubble carbonic mask pack that eliminates body wastes and tends the skin moist.” What I think they mean is this: this mask pack cleans your skin and pores and will not strip your skin of moisture. Jolse also states this: “The oxygen bubbles should cleanse the make-ups clean while tending the skin.”

On CosDNA, you can check out the ingredients in this product. The list is mostly safe, with a few ingredients that are possible irritants. I didn’t notice any negative reactions from using this product though, and my skin can be sensitive. This is my first time trying a Rivecowe product, and it’s also my first time trying a bubble mask.

Since this mask is meant to cleanse makeup as well, I used the Rivecowe Bubble Mask Pack before showering. I didn’t have much makeup on since I used it after work (I only had tinted moisturizer on), but it was worth seeing if it would clean that off. Generally, I use a face wipe first, then an oil cleanser, and then a foam cleanser.

When I first ripped open the package, I noticed bubbles already forming! This was surprising. It was difficult at first for me to unfold the mask since it was stuck tightly together, but I was able to open it up without damaging the mask itself. I placed it on my face, and was relieved to see the holes fit relatively well. The bubbles formed very quickly, and grew in volume!

Using a timer, I kept the mask on for five minutes. I could hear the bubbling noises, which was a bit disorienting but also quite fun! There was also something relaxing about chilling with a bubbling mask on my face. The bubble noises seemed to get louder over time, but I wonder if that was in my imagination.

There is fragrance contained in this product, but it was mild (which I like!). I’m glad the smell wasn’t overpowering. I was comfortable keeping this mask on for five minutes, although when the bubbles got really big, they started getting into my nose (and I was paranoid about them getting into my eyes). I was all good though!

Check out my video of the mask in action here!

After I took off the mask, there were some remaining bubbles on my face.

I simply rinsed off the bubbles, and then I noticed that my skin felt a little tight, but it did feel clean. The tightness wasn’t a bad feeling though! It didn’t feel dry.

All in all, this was a fun experience and I’d definitely use these masks again! I don’t know how effective they would be to clean off actual makeup. I’m also way too lazy to ever use this as part of my skincare routine, but it’s definitely something I’ll keep in mind to do once in a while. I would recommend this product to people who want a fun cleansing experience!

Overall Rating: ☆☆☆☆

RoleCosplay: Lolita Wig Review

RoleCosplay sponsored this cute lolita wig! Here’s some information about this wig from their website:

  • Heat-resistant Fiber
  • Main Wig Length: 65 cm
  • Ponytail Length: 65 cm
  • Price: $21.50

You can use the exclusive 10% off coupon code “lilixiao” if you want to purchase something from RoleCosplay!

The wig was shipped to me in a L-email wig mailer; I assume that this wig is from the company L-email wig. RoleCosplay sells a variety of different wigs, and I am not sure if RoleCosplay sells wigs from different brands as well.

Upon opening the package, I found that the wig was safely packed inside. There was even a complimentary wig cap!

Since my old black wig cap is really beat-up now, I decided to use this new wig cap when I tried on this new wig. Here are some flash/no flash comparison images:

With flash, the wig looks shiny. Without flash, the wig has a healthy sheen and not much shine. I personally think the wig looks better with no flash!DSC_0526.jpg

The inside of the wig has a capless construction. The wig circumference is also adjustable with the elastics and hooks. This wig was not too tight on me (which is an issue I have with some wigs, since my hair is so thick). The wig cap that came with this wig was also great! It was one of the black netting ones that has a hole on top to make it easy to pull on and pull up. It’s really stretchy and can hold a lot of hair!

The color of this wig reminds me of taro! It’s a pretty purplish-brown color. The wig is curly and has straight bangs. I trimmed the bangs since they originally went down to my lips. If you don’t want to trim the bangs, you can also sweep them to the side or clip them to the sides. I didn’t cut or style anything other than the bangs, so this wig came in ready-to-wear condition. The curls were bouncy and beautiful, and the length was perfect! The jaw clips for the ponytails were easy to use. The wig is thick, and as you can see below, the wefts don’t show.

The two ponytail clips are so cute and bouncy! I love ponytail clip wig sets because they’re so versatile. You can wear the base wig on its own, with one ponytail clip, or with both ponytail clips. The ponytail clips were not too heavy and they were comfortable on my head.

I also made a YouTube video as a supplement to this review. The first part of the video is the wig review, and the second part of the video is a coordinate rundown.

Coordinate Rundown:

I always need to do Jojo poses in Lolita fashion, hahaha! The wig was secure on my head and did not slide around at all. Does anyone else watch Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures? I’m currently on the Egypt arc of Stardust Crusaders. I love this anime!

To see more photos, check out this Facebook album; I’ll add more photos over time. Shoutout to the photographer, Rick Joseph: thanks for shooting me!

Thanks so much for reading my review! Be sure to use the coupon code “lilixiao” if you’re shopping at RoleCosplay. Feel free to ask me any questions. ^_^ Hope you all have a great week!

Geo: Princess Mimi Almond Brown Lenses

The website www.geocolouredlenses.com sponsored the Geo Princess Mimi Almond Brown lenses for me to review. These are brown lenses that last up to a year with proper care. The diameter is 14.5 mm, the base curve is 8.7, and the water content is 40±2%. These lenses come in prescriptions 0.00 ∼ -8.00.

Here is the package I received:

The contents of the package were neatly in one place, sealed in a plastic bag.

The Geo lenses came in individual vials, with the prescriptions on top of the caps. The lenses also came with a complimentary lens case, marked with “L” and “R” for “Left” and “Right.” There was also a business card sized flyer with information about Geo Coloured Lenses’ social media, and a sheet with instructions for soft contact lens care.

Below, you can see a set of three photos. The top one shows one eye with no lens or makeup, but the other eye has lenses and makeup. As you can see, The lenses and makeup make my eyes look a lot bigger! In the middle photo, both of my eyes have makeup on, but only one eye is wearing a circle lens. You can see the difference that the circle lens makes! The bottom photo is the complete look.

Circle lenses are a great cosmetic accessory that can add a lot to your look! And since many of them come in prescriptions, you can use them instead of wearing glasses. Just be sure to take proper care of your lenses and remember to avoid keeping them in your eyes for too long. And never sleep in your lenses!

Overall: ☆☆☆☆☆

Packaging: ☆☆☆☆☆ The packaging was great; I have no complaints.

Style: ☆☆☆☆☆ I love the design of these lenses: there is a black limbal ring that surrounds sheer light brown color! The lenses give dramatic enlargement but are in a natural color, so these lenses would work for a variety of makeup looks.

Color: ☆☆☆☆ I do wish the color was more opaque so the light brown shows better on my dark eyes, but the color still looks lighter than my natural eye color.

Comfort: ☆☆☆☆☆ These are very comfortable! I have only worn them once, but I definitely want to wear them more often. I could hardly feel them in my eyes when I wore them, and I kept them in for several hours.

(☆ = Most negative/Not good at all, ☆☆ = Not that good, but okay ☆☆☆ = Neutral/No opinion/No answer, ☆☆☆☆ = Great, ☆☆☆☆☆ = Most positive/Fantastic!)
