Spooky Spectacular: 2024 Halloween Goodies + More

Halloween is just around the corner, and it’s time to start planning your costume and stocking up on spooky treats. But what about those unique and unforgettable Halloween gifts and experiences that will make this year’s celebration truly special? Check out my recommendations — these are all great for gifting to friends, or simply to treat yourself. 😉

For the Horror Movie Enthusiast:

  • Vintage Horror Movie Posters: Add a touch of retro horror to your home with authentic or reproduction posters from classic films like “Frankenstein,” “The Shining,” and “Night of the Living Dead.”
  • Go to the cinema and watch a horror movie! Or, you can stream your favorites (or something new!) online. Check out the wide variety of horror movies on Amazon – you can watch some of my favorites like Barbarian (this is leaving Amazon Prime in 6 days so don’t miss it!!), Eden Lake, Suspiria (you can watch both the 1977 film and the 2018 film), and Crawl (this is a disaster film/creature feature which I don’t personally count as horror, but I know some people do!). Or if you plan on seeing Terrifier 3, you can watch Terrifier and Terrifier 2 first.
  • Horror movie stickers: This pack of 100 horror movie stickers has everyone from Jason to Jigsaw to Art the Clown!

For the Fashionista:

Use code 3PEARLS to get an additional discount on any of the products in this section.

  • Costumes and Cosplays: Whether you’re a seasoned cosplayer or if you just like to dress up during Halloween, don’t forget your costume! You can don a Demon Slayer cosplay, or a Halloween-themed maid costume. You can also dress up in an easy costume by adding on this bone mask or be a cute kitty with these black cat ears (these ears are also only $2.90 right now!). You can use my coupon code 3PEARLS to get an additional discount off your order.

For the Candy Lover:

  • Cute Candy Bowls: It’s the perfect time to get a cute Halloween-themed candy bowl! You can use this cat or pumpkin bowl for cookies, candy, and more.
  • Gourmet Halloween Candy: Indulge in premium Halloween candy from artisanal chocolatiers or gourmet candy makers, like this cute black cat chocolate.
  • Candy for Trick-or-Treaters or Parties: If you’re passing out candy to trick-or-treaters or hosting a Halloween party, don’t forget to buy Halloween candy in bulk!

With these Halloween goodies, you’re sure to have a spooktacular celebration filled with fun, fright, and unforgettable memories. Happy Halloween, everyone!

LBC: Disney Coordinates

Image

This week was finals week for me, and I still have more academic work to complete today… But I could not resist participating in this week’s Lolita Blog Carnival! Unfortunately, I do not have much time since it is finals week, so I apologize for any misspellings or grammatical errors in this post. (I’m rushing to write this up in half an hour or less!)

Now onto the Disney coordinates!

As Alice in Lolitaland, I have to try an Alice coordinate right? Recently, I wore a coordinate inspired by Disney’s Alice in Wonderland when I went to the cinema to see the new Captain America movie. I used Bodyline’s Alice print JSK in the pink x blue color way. I paired this JSK with my Chocomint Tea Time hair clip and a handmade Alice bow. I was also wearing a Bodyline blouse and Bodyline shoes… (Lots of Bodyline in this coordinate!) My knee socks are offbrand. I did not wear any jewelry with this coordinate because I was in a rush and did not have time to pick any out. Unfortunately, I took off my wrist cuffs before leaving my dormitory because it was really cold out and I did not want to damage the wrist cuffs when I took my winter jacket on and off. My lolita big sister Terry gave me these wrist cuffs, so it would be a shame if they got damaged! Terry got the wrist cuffs from Classical Puppets (Taobao).

Here are some close-up selfies (you can see the cute wrist cuff in the second pic!):

For my makeup look, I used pressed powder foundation, a shimmery highlighter, neutral eyeshadow, black eyeliner, and lipstick. I did not bother wearing false lashes for this look, and I did not wear any blush either. I am happy with the way my makeup turned out though! It’s simple, but it was also very comfortable. I forgot I was wearing makeup!

The next Disney coordinate I will talk about is a tentative idea for a future coordinate, also featuring a Bodyline JSK! This coordinate uses another Disney-inspired Bodyline print: Cinderella Bunny! I am not sure if this is the proper name for the print, but that is what I call it. I have this dress in the red colorway. Red is my favorite color, so I hope to acquire lots of red pieces. ❤

In addition to what is seen above, I would add pearl earrings, a pearl bracelet, white stockings, and red Bodyline tea party-style shoes. If I am chilly, I will wear my sax-colored Bodyline bunny sweatshirt (to go with the bunny Cinderella theme). I think this is one of my favorite Bodyline prints, and I’m really happy I was able to snag it from the community sales!

I apologize again for the disorganized and rushed blog post!
