KLensPop mailed the package via Korea Post, and the cardboard box was very secure. Inside the cardboard box, everything was wrapped in a thick layer of bubble wrap.

Inside the bubble wrap was this adorable little box! I love KLensPop’s packaging. There was even illustrated instructions for the care of contact lenses on the back of the box.

Above, you can see what was inside the box. Everything was packaged neatly inside a ziploc bag. The circle lenses come with a contact lens case (color-coded for left and right), and a pair of contact lens tweezers. I don’t use tweezers since I use my fingers, but if you want to use a tool like this, the option is available.

DSC_0007This is my first time trying circle lenses from the Korean brand New Bio, by the way! Now, onto the review for these lenses from KLensPop. ^_^

eye

These black circle lenses do enlarge my eyes, but the enlargement is very natural. I don’t think people will stare at my eyes skeptically; if I wore these lenses at home, I honestly don’t think my grandparents will freak out like they normally do when I wear circle lenses. Since the enlargement is natural, these circle lenses look great with toned-down makeup. I did not wear any false lashes for this makeup look! I only used eyeshadow, black liquid eyeliner, white pencil eyeliner, and mascara for the eye makeup.

cute

These are in my prescription too, which is wonderful! You should check their website; they probably have your prescription as well.

Now, for my circle lens ratings!

Overall: ☆☆☆☆☆

Style: ☆☆☆☆ This design is simple but definitely fits in the natural aesthetic. It looks lovely! I like how it gives my eyes a gray tinge in certain lighting and eye positions, due to the sheer-colored black parts on the inner section of the lenses.

Enlargement: ☆☆☆ These give slight enlargement, but they are not too noticeable. If you compare these photos to photos of me without circle lenses, you’ll see that my real eye are, in fact, smaller. These lenses would be perfect for a natural look! If you are interested in wearing circle lenses, but are scared to try them because they are so large, you should start off with these lenses! They would be a great pair of circle lenses for someone to start out with.

Color: ☆☆☆☆☆ It’s definitely a black color! The outside is black, but it is more sheer toward the inside. I have dark-colored eyes, but I’m sure it will darken light eyes too. Since the black ring is only on the outside and fades toward the inside, they would look really cool if you have light colored eyes~!

Comfort: ☆☆☆☆☆ These are extremely comfortable! I wore these lenses to see The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, and they never bothered me, even when watching the movie in 3D. I never had to use eyedrops. I am definitely interested in trying other circle lenses from this brand!

(☆ = Most negative/Not good at all, ☆☆ = Not that good, but okay ☆☆☆ = Neutral/No opinion/No answer, ☆☆☆☆ = Great, ☆☆☆☆☆ = Most positive/Fantastic!)

LBC: Personal Lolita Goals For 2015

Personal Lolita Goals For 2015

  1. Join the Lolita Blog Carnival more often! I feel like I did not write that many posts this year because I’ve been so busy with academics.
  2. And this point relates to the previous one: Blog more on WordPress in general. I feel like my posts lately have only been either review posts or Lolita Blog Carnival posts. I hope I can blog more, without the need for prompts. Maybe I can write more about my personal thoughts or blog about events I attend! I also want to expand my reviews. Maybe I’ll review makeup products! If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
  3. Take more photos of casual coordinates! I rarely take photos of my casual lolita coords. I want to show that I do wear lolita casually sometimes, and in these cases, I don’t wear makeup (or I just wear minimal makeup) and I don’t wear wigs. I don’t really style my hair, and honestly, I never did even when I had long hair. I have to admit: I’m lazy when it comes to my real hair! I usually wear a hair accessory when I wear casual lolita, even if it’s just a small bow or a cute barrette.
  4. Take some lolita fashion risks. I really want to try punk lolita, for example. I am scared to try, but I want to go ahead and do it at some point! I also want to take more lolita risks in styles I already wear. Maybe wear a winter scarf and winter gloves with a coordinate. Or layer on different sweaters for a Mori-inspired lolita look.
  5. Make videos for YouTube. I have a YouTube channel, but there are only two videos on there at the moment. And they are both a year old. …So I should really try to upload new videos. Maybe I can make a wardrobe video post? Or show off details from some favorite lolita pieces? We’ll see.

LBC: Winter Lolita Look

lbc

This week’s theme is a Winter Lolita Look! I wish I had more time to wear lolita, but I’ve been super busy with academics. I will share my look for my very first International Lolita Day Meetup! The winter ILD meetup in Boston was a lot of fun. ^_^ I went with a friend from my local community who was kind enough to give me a ride there.

ILDwinter

It was super cold, but I was wearing an underskirt, my favorite multi-layered petticoat, tights, knee socks, and fleece bloomers. While traveling, I also wore my poofy (non-lolita, and I think it’s ugly, but it is super warm and New England-friendly) jacket and leg warmers. I also wore my winter boots because the weather was terrible, and I changed into my nice shoes when we arrived in Boston.

Here is the coordinate rundown:

[Crown] Crowns of the Kingdom

[Wig and Lashes] Gothic Lolita Wigs / Dolluxe

[Blouse] Dear Celine

[JSK] Innocent World

[Necklace] Vintage

[Gloves] Vintage (from a flea market in Paris! :D)

[Socks] Offbrand

[Shoes] Offbrand

Shout-out to my friend Lisa who made the fleece bloomers for me as a lovely present last year! ❤

For my winter looks, I love wearing wigs because they actually do keep my head very warm. It’s like wearing a winter hat, but better! I also love layering up things, so it’s great that I can wear warm tights under my socks.

As for winter lolita looks in the future, I would love to wear a warm and fancy fur cape! And maybe a winter hat that works for lolita? I did do this look with a warm winter hat before:

1965702_268343846663152_1153859401_o

I love this winter hat! It’s a vintage item I found in a thrift shop. I pinned a matching navy flower to it! (And I’m wearing a wig under the hat for extra warmth. That’s the same exact wig I wore for ILD, in fact… What a coincidence!)

How do you stay warm in the winter while wearing lolita? Are there any cute accessories you love to wear with your winter coordinates?
