UNIQSO: I.Fairy Cara Green

UNIQSO sponsored the I.Fairy Cara Green circle lenses to go with my Luo Tianyi cosplay! These green lenses are perfect for the character Luo Tianyi.

Here is what arrived in my mail:

I was expectinga padded mailer, so this was no surprise! It was packaged just as my other UNIQSO lenses were packaged. Inside the mailer, I found two cute “Thank You” UNIQSO boxes, two contact lens cases, and a UNIQSO Instagram card. Inside the boxes were the lens vials!

Inside each box, the lens vials were wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap. The bubble wrap was taped to secure each vial in place. This mode of protection is great! I’ve never had an issue with vials breaking, and I’ve ordered most of my lenses from UNIQSO. They’re definitely very reliable!

The green is a deep, rich color. The enlargement is lovely as well, and I’m sure these lenses will work for a variety of different characters.

Below, you’ll see a collage photo.

The top photo in the collage features just the lenses and no eye makeup. As you can see, they give great enlargement to the eyes! The top photo was also taken in indoor bathroom lighting.

The bottom photo in the collage features both the lenses and eye makeup. This photo was taken in the bathroom, but with the indoor lighting off and the window open (I faced the window to take the photo). These lenses have a nice green color regardless of the lighting! 🙂 It’s not a super bright green, but you c an tell there’s green and even flecks of yellow.

Final Review:

Overall: ☆☆☆☆☆

Communication: ☆☆☆☆☆ UNIQSO always has great communication! Lee Lee is fantastic and answers all questions promptly.

Packaging: ☆☆☆☆☆ I’ve never had an issue with the packaging! I love the cute boxes and the care UNIQSO takes to wrap the lenses and make sure they arrive safely.

Style: ☆☆☆☆☆ I love the design of these lenses! The flecks of yellow add depth to the color, and the thin black limbal ring is perfect for defining the eyes. The opening in the center of the lenses is large enough for you to look through without obscuring your vision.

Color: ☆☆☆☆ The green color is so pretty, but I wish it was a brighter green on my eyes. It’s not completely opaque, so the parts that are over my irises appear darker… since my irises are such a dark brown (almost black). I don’t have a major complaint about the color though; they definitely show up as green on my eyes!

Comfort: ☆☆☆☆☆ These are so comfy! I wore them for this photoshoot, as well as other photoshoots throughout the day. (I went through four outfits… and wore these same lenses the whole time!)

UNIQSO: Luo Tianyi Wig

First, let’s talk about the packaging!

UNIQSO shipped the wig in a DHL mailer. The circle lenses came in a separate package, which I will talk about it in a separate blog post.

The wig was wrapped in multiple layers of protection.

Inside the plastic bag is the wig and wig extension piece (and protective hairnets). The plastic bag also had a cardboard piece inside that added protection for the wig during transit. The wig came in perfect condition! Pretty fibers, not tangled at all: this was definitely a brand-new wig.

When I took out the pieces from the bag, I was pleasantly surprised to find a free wig cap! This is the kind of wig cap I like too: the stretchy net kind with the hole on the top. This wig is made up of a short base wig and one clip-on extension. The extension has a large alligator clip, and it is one piece that has both the hair infinity loop as well as the long extension strands.

The wig was very easy to style! I trimmed the base wig to fix up the bangs, but didn’t do anything to the extension. The gray wig has a silver sheen, and it’s the perfect color for Luo Tianyi!

It’s too early to tell if the wig extension tangles easily or not, but the fibers are all smooth and even if they tangle, they should be easy to detangle with a wig comb or wig brush. The base wig is short and does not tangle at all. The fibers have a silvery sheen but do not look too shiny. This wig looks fantastic in photos! The base wig is also thick; my hair does not show through the wefts.

PinkyParadise: Media Diva Review

As usual, I’ll share my circle lens ratings:

Overall: ☆☆☆☆☆

Style: ☆☆☆☆☆ The circle lens design is beautiful! There’s a thick black limbal ring along with a variety of shades of brown on the inner portions of the lenses. The lens design looks slightly like a flower (petals opening up around the pupil).

Enlargement: ☆☆☆☆☆ Amazing enlargement! The thick limbal ring definitely helps to delineate your eyes as much bigger than they actually are. The diameter is perfect for that big-eyed dolly look! I love how big my eyes look when I wear these lenses.

Color: ☆☆☆☆☆ The limbal ring is a bold solid black. There’s flecks of pale brown as well as a slightly orange-tinted brown (a nice golden hue). The colors are rich, just like chocolate!

Comfort: ☆☆☆☆☆ These are super comfortable lenses! I can wear them all day without a problem. They don’t dry out my eyes; I don’t even need to use eye drops. If you want comfy lenses, I would highly recommend the Geo Princess Mimi Chocolate Brown circle lenses!

I absolutely adore these circle lenses! I’ve tried another lens pair from the Geo Princess Mimi series, and those lenses are also really comfortable and cute. If you want a different lens from the Geo Princess Mimi series, go for it! I’m sure you’ll be satisfied.

How do you make your eyes so big?

This is a question I have received on Instagram, Facebook, and Tumblr. Many people who use circle lenses to achieve the big-eye look, since circle lenses literally enlarge your eyes (or at least give the illusion of bigger pupils and/or bigger irises). I love circle lenses for this same reason! But in addition to circle lenses, I use other techniques to make my eyes look bigger. Here are my top 3 tips for dolly eyes, in addition to circle lenses:

False eyelashes. If you use false lashes, they can really open up your eyes and make them look bigger! Exaggerated lashes give the illusion of bigger eyes. Using just top lashes makes your eyes bigger, but if you use both top and bottom lashes, your eyes will appear to be even more exaggerated in size. When I apply my bottom lashes, I don’t put them at the waterline. By applying them below the waterline, it creates the illusion of larger eyes.
Black eyeliner. Thick black eyeliner can also make your eyes look bigger since they draw attention to the outline of your eye. This is similar to how a dark and solid limbal ring on circle lenses gives the illusion of bigger eyes as well. You can apply black eyeliner with or without false lashes for an enlarging effect. Even when I don’t wear false lashes, I find that simple eyeliner can make my eyes look bigger.
White eyeliner and/or light-colored/luminescent eyeshadow. This is one of my favorite tricks! In the look I used for this blog post featuring the Geo Princess Mimi Chocolate Brown circle lenses, I used a silver eyeshadow. Normally, at home, I use white eyeliner to line the bottom of my eyes, but since I’m studying abroad, I had to pack light and the only eyeliner I brought with me was my black one. Since I didn’t have any white eyeliner, I decided to try using silver eyeshadow… and it works the same way! It also gives a cute sparkle to your eyes. If you use a light-colored/luminescent eyeshadow, carefully apply it to the bottoms of your eyes in a line. Do not blend the shadow. This should make your eyes pop!

Above, you can see that I am not wearing any false lashes. I used black eyeliner on the top and white eyeliner on the bottom, as well as neutral eyeshadows.
