Resting Petals: Hair Accessories

Resting Petals is a shop that has cute accessories and trinkets inspired by vintage fashion and J-Fashion styles such as mori girl and natural kei. They sent me some cute accessories for review, and I hope you love them as much as I do!

The package I received from Resting Petals was a nice USPS mailer: Nothing was damaged, and everything was in mint condition. No flaws or loose threads in sight. Here is a photo of the products without flash: And with flash: Resting Petals also included a business card for me! The two bows have alligator clips attached to the backs. The brooch can be worn as a brooch or a hair clip; there’s both a pin and an alligator clip on the back. Here’s a photo of me modeling the brooch: And you may recognize the set of two pastel bows… I wore it with a super pastel outfit the other day: You can see the bows holding my wig hair at the bottom! I tied hair elastics onto the wig first, and then clipped the bows to the elastics. Aren’t these bows so cute? I’m not sure if the bows will stay in my real hair, since I usually need bows with French clips or alligator clips with strong teeth (my hair is very straight and very thick), but these bows work just fine with wigs like this one. Red Sakura: Puffy Star Clip and Pink Bow

Red Sakura, a little shop with cute handmade accessories, sent me two items for review!

Here is the package I got from them:

It’s a basic bubble mailer. There was a small tear in the packaging, but the bubble lining kept the contents safe! Nothing inside was damaged, so I have no complaints. The two accessories were also wrapped in hot pink tissue paper!

An adorable note was included, and a piece of Flower Kiss candy was taped to the note. I love Flower Kiss candy! It’s a hard candy that has a nice flavor and does not taste too sweet. I haven’t had one in a long time, so it was great to see one again.

I love the cute mini bow that’s on the pink bow, and the puffy star clip features not one, but three, of these little mini bows. The pink bow has a French clip on the back to attach it to a wig or hair, and the puffy star clip has both a pin and a French clip on the back so you can wear it as a brooch or a hair accessory.

I wore these accessories with my Rhapsody wig from Gothic Lolita Wigs and an OTT Sweet Lolita outfit. They would also be adorable with a fairy kei outfit! The pink bow would go well with a pink gyaru outfit too. The French clip backing is a smart choice because it can easily clip into thick wig fibers. The French clips are very secure, so the accessories don’t feel like they are slipping out. (Sometimes, alligator clips can be more slippery.)

Review: Mashmallow Octopus Necklace

Happy New Year, everyone! How is your 2015 going so far? I’m really sick right now, so I’m glad I took these photos before I got sick… In any case, I can still blog in my sickly condition, which is nice. I hope I feel better soon… (I think I just have a bad cold, but it might be something worse.)

I got an octopus necklace from Mashmallow, and I absolutely love it! I decided to review this product for all of you since I already have some photos.

Here is what I saw on my doorstep when the package came in:

There were no damages to this item, so I was very pleased with the product and product packaging! Instructions and warnings were included in the box. Keep this necklace away from extreme temperatures!

The octopus pendant is a bright neon pink, and the octopus even has cute little black eyes. It’s a very well-crafted pendant, and the black cord is also high-quality!

Isn’t the octopus adorable? I want to name her, but I haven’t thought of a name yet. Feel free to suggest names~!

I wore this necklace with a mostly-black outfit. I love the stunning bright color~! It truly stands out against my black top. Both the pendant and the black cord are sturdy. The clasp is easy to use as well! The length of the necklace is perfect, and I plan to wear it with my casual outfits since it’s so easy to wear.
