LBC: Your Signature Look

lbc

This week’s theme is Your Signature Look! I’m not sure what my signature look is since I dabble in different substyles of lolita. Even within the realm of sweet lolita, I have a varied style: I sometimes wear casual sweet, OTT sweet, or classic sweet. One thing I noticed that is consistent throughout most of my coords is this fact: mix of brands! I usually coordinate a mix of brand, offbrand, and sometimes vintage for my lolita outfits.

Here are some examples of coordinates that feature my “signature look:”

ILDwinter 2014

Here is my coord for the 2014 winter ILD meetup. My JSK is from Innocent World, but the blouse and socks are from different Taobao brands, the shoes are offbrand, the hat was commissioned from an Etsy seller, and the jewelry and gloves are vintage. The pieces from this coordinate came from a wide variety of places.

beautyplus

This coord features a JSK from Chess Story, with a Metamorphose blouse, offbrand jewelry, and offbrand socks and shoes. The parasol is offbrand as well, but I borrowed that from a friend. The roses and bow are all offbrand too! I enjoy incorporating offbrand items into my coordinates since I don’t wear lolita every day. The offbrand pieces I have are easier to coordinate into casual outfits or other alternative fashion styles in addition to lolita fashion.

This coordinate has a JSK and headbow from BTSSB, but the socks and shoes are offbrand and the blouse is from Fanplusfriend. The jewelry is offbrand and the wrist cuffs are from Bodyline. The dangly hair clip is from Sweet Mildred.

LiLiLolita4

Here, you have my favorite coord from the summer! This coord has a lot from Angelic Pretty (salopette, headbow, and tights), but you can also see other brands represented. The cutsew is from BTSSB, the jewelry is offbrand (from an artist that makes lots of cute fairy kei jewelry), the umbrella is offbrand, and the shoes are offbrand.

Here are some other coords:

LBC: Plan Your Ideal Holiday Trip To Tokyo For Frills

lbc

This week’s prompt is to plan your ideal holiday trip to Tokyo for frills! For this dream vacation, let’s just pretend I’m rich and can afford to go on a shopping spree (and buy ALL THE THINGS)… because I’m going to make a huge list of place I want to shop! Realistically, it would mostly be window shopping. But I definitely want to see these stores in person at least. For my ideal holiday trip, I would love to go with family and friends, but I think a big group would be difficult to manage (unless we split up into smaller groups upon arrival). Maybe groups of 2 or 3 people would be ideal? I’m not sure, but I wouldn’t want to go around alone (especially since I have absolutely no sense of direction). I will focus mostly on frills-related shops, but I will also branch out into my other interests. If I’m planning a dream trip to Tokyo, I might as well include everything I’m interested in, right?

Shopping Spree Time: Harajuku

FIRST, I’m going to list places in Harajuku that I want to shop at, and then move on to other stores I want to visit, other places I want to go, etc. (And I would love to hang out in Harajuku multiple times!)

  • Laforet (Harajuku)  …So many stores I want to see in here!
    • Atelier Pierrot
    • Alice and the Pirates
    • Angelic Pretty
    • h.Naoto
    • Jane Marple
    • Les Merveilleuses LADURÉE
    • MINTNeKO
    • Metamorphose
    • Putumayo
    • Swimmer
    • Super Lovers
  • Daiso … for cheap but cute things! (I heard there’s a really big one in Harajuku :D)
  • Check out stores along Takeshita St.

If I go to Harajuku, I would love to wear lolita coordinates while I shop! Maybe one day I could wear a sweet lolita coord, and another day I could wear a gothic lolita coord.

Stores / Shopping Places to find:

Now, here’s a huge list of various stores and shopping places I want to find. Some of these are lolita brands, some are gyaru, some are offbrand (or even just souvenir shops or discount shops).

  • Atelier Boz
  • Innocent World
  • Baby the Stars Shine Bright

    • Ank Rouge
    • KOKOkim
    • Ghost of Harlem
    • GOLDS Infinity
    • Swankiss
    • Cecil McBee
    • d.i.a.
    • Liz Lisa
    • Lip Service
    • one spo
  • Kera Shop
  • Maiden Clothing (Pure Sound)
  • Prisila (to look at gorgeous wigs <3)
  • Paris Kids (cute and affordable accessories and jewelry please!)
  • Bodyline
  • Grand Bazaar
  • Studio Alta
  • Shinjuku Marui Annex
  • Thank You Mart (cheap stuff!)
  • Omotesando Hills (I really want to see the architecture of this building in person!)
  • Cat Street (Shibuya)

Other fun things to do:

  • Purikura~!
  • Play a game of Pachinko
  • Visit shrines and temples
  • Go to a cat café
  • Go to an Onsen
  • Gachapon! (Maybe at Shinjuku Yodobashi…)
  • Walk through parks and gardens
  • Go to a maid café (maybe in Akihabara!)

Shopping for my anime/manga fandom needs:

And here is where I can satisfy my otaku cravings… official anime merchandise, cosplay-related things, doujinshi, and more!

Bucket List of Specific Places:

These are places that are on my bucket list… I really want to see all of them if possible!

…And I’m sure there are many more things I would love to do! I apologize for the messiness of this post; had to write this as quickly as possible since I want to post it on time for the Lolita Blog Carnival.

Are there any places you would like to go on your ideal trip to Tokyo that is not listed on here? Please let me know, and maybe I’ll add it to this list too! 😀

Hard Candy House: First Batch (2)

DSCN2081

Here’s Part 2 of my review for Hard Candy House! If you want to read Part 1 (about the Good Girl collection), check it out here. Now, let’s look at items from the Cherry Tart collection.

DSCN0598

This is the adorable bracelet that they sent me! I love the chunky chain style of the bracelet, and the large charms are too cute. The fuzzy heart is my favorite charm! Everything on this bracelet goes together so nicely.

DSCN0599

The clasp is really easy to use, and I was pleased with the fit. It was not too big for my wrists, which is an issue I’ve encountered before with bracelets. The construction is sturdy and there was no fraying on the ribbon.

DSCN0607

The choker necklace is equally adorable! I love the bit of lace trim along the edges. The dangling cherry charm is the perfect touch!

DSCN0608

The clasp is adjustable, so this choker will fit a variety of sizes. It’s comfortable to wear since the fabric is soft.

DSCN0609

Below, you will see adorable cherry earrings that match the other accessories I got from the Cherry Tart collection. Unfortunately, I have sensitive ears, so I can’t wear these earrings. However, I’m happy that Hard Candy House chose to use fish hook style earrings for this design since I find fish hook earrings to be the most comfortable to wear! If you like these earrings and don’t have sensitive ears, you should definitely try them.

When I first received the package from Hard Candy House, I filmed a video featuring some of their items:

In conclusion, I love both the items from the Cherry Tart collection and the items from the Good Girl collection that Hard Candy House sent me. If I had to choose a collection I prefer, I would choose the Cherry Tart collection (because red x black is my favorite color combo!). Which collection do you prefer?
