TeaCupCastle: Stormborn Claw Necklace

Today I am going to review a lovely necklace for you all: the Stormborn Claw Necklace from the Etsy shop TeaCupCastle. TeaCupCastle has a variety of handmade jewelry using vintage findings.

The Stormborn Claw Necklace is inspired by Daenerys Targaryen (one of my favorite characters from Game of Thrones!!). If you love Game of Thrones, you should check out TeaCupCastle’s other Game of Thrones-inspired jewelry, like the Night’s Watch Ring and the Lannister Lion Crest Pin.

Now, onto the review!

TeaCupCastle mailed out the package in a bubble mailer. The mailer arrived completely in-tact, with no tears at all. Inside the mailer was a coupon, a business card, and a box sealed with cute tape. The necklace was safely nestled inside the box on a fluffy bed. The pendant was even tucked inside a small plastic bag for added protection!

I love this necklace and hope to wear it many times in the future.

The pendant orb of this necklace is a gorgeous deep purple that seems to change color slightly, depending on the lighting. Sometimes, it looks so dark that it is almost black, and other times, it looks like a vibrant shade of purple. Upon close observation, I noticed bits of green that slithers its way around the orb. The green is not too noticeable from a distance, but up close, it looks really cool. It reminds me of a mystical planet or (dare I say it…?) a dragon egg! I can just imagine the orb cracking along the green veins.

Final verdict on this necklace: ☆☆☆☆☆ out of ☆☆☆☆☆ ! I have no complaints whatsoever. The necklace is easy to wear, everything is well-constructed and sturdy, and it’s truly beautiful. This necklace works wonderfully for lolita fashion, but it would also be easy to incorporate into other fashion styles and even casual wear. The necklace would really stand out against a plain t-shirt, for example!

Sugar Pop Party Shop: Jewelry Review

Sugar Pop Party Shop gave me some jewelry to review. I chose two necklaces and a ring, but the shop also threw in two cute bracelets as freebies for me. Check them out on Etsy and Storenvy!

Now first things first: let’s talk about the package!

The package I received was a sturdy bubble mailer. There were no rips or tears, and the package was easy to open. Good choice in packaging, Sugar Pop Party Shop!

Inside the package was a cute sheer drawstring bag… filled with goodies! You can see the two freebie bracelets right there on the outside, and then there’s also a pink box and a blue drawstring bag.

Here are the contents of the bag:

Jamie, the owner of Sugar Pop Party Shop, even included a sheet of Disney Princess stickers! There is one thing missing from this photo though: the glitter Kawaii necklace. Here is the story: Even though the necklace was packaged in the pink box, it somehow got damaged during shipping.

The necklace’s pendant, the drippy “Kawaii” text, snapped in half. I emailed Jamie immediately to let her know that the necklace was damaged, and she responded quickly and said she would ship out a replacement. Jamie also assured me that she always replaces any item lost or damaged during shipping, so you can rest assured that Sugar Pop Party Shop will take care of any damaged items you receive.

I received the replacement necklace in a timely manner and was very pleased! It was completely intact and I have no complaints. The necklace is super cute and easy to wear.

For this sponsorship, I decided to model the jewelry in two pastel-themed coordinates. One of them is a sweet lolita outfit, and the other one is just a cute harajuku-style outfit (inspired by both gyaru and fairy kei). Both outfits include the bracelets and macaron ring as accessories. You can find all jewelry pieces in Sugar Pop Party Shop’s Etsy and Storenvy.

Let’s start with the non-lolita outfit, featuring the Kawaii necklace!

I love this Kawaii necklace! It’s very pink: there’s a pink chain, a hot pink bow charm, and the super sparkly “Kawaii” pendant! The pendant is very clean-cut and vibrant. The glitter does not rub off, which is great! The necklace secures at the back using a lobster clasp. It was a bit too long on me, but I was able to make the necklace shorter by clasping it on one of the chain links. It’s easy to adjust the length!

In the above photo, you can see the mint macaron ring and the two beaded bracelets from Sugar Pop Party Shop. All these pieces of pastel jewelry are well-made and too cute~! I’m very pleased with the bracelets because usually bracelets are too large for my wrists and slide off constantly. These bracelets are small enough to fit my thin wrists, and they are also stretchy, so I can easy put them on and take them off without worrying about ripping the bracelets. The macaron ring is on an adjustable band, so it should fit a variety of sizes. The detail on the macaron ring is incredible! The texture of the cream in the center looks almost like real cream, and the color choices are superb. Pink, mint, and red are such a great color combination!

Now let’s talk about sweet lolita, featuring the chocolate bar necklace!

The chocolate bar necklace is adorable. I love the gold chain; I think gold suits this necklace best! The little heart and bow at the top of the chocolate bar pendant is a perfect addition too. The necklace works well as a statement piece, and I think it would go great with sweet lolita coordinates and otome coordinates. This can also be worked into classic lolita, and I can see it working for aomoji-kei.

I would highly recommend Sugar Pop Party Shop for anyone interested in J-Fashion or alternative fashion, or even sweets enthusiasts or people who love cute things! I’m Your Present: Panda Collar Clip Review

The super cool store I’m Your Present sponsored me this panda collar clip to review. It’s such a cute and unique idea! I’ve never seen a collar clip before, so I was excited to review this item. I hope you all love it as much as I do!

The package was shipped via USPS First-Class Mail. Here is how the clip was packaged:

There were no rips or tears in the bag. The packaging was very secure, and nothing was damaged.

Everything in the package was wrapped in pink tissue paper! Inside the tissue paper was a box (with the panda collar clip inside), a business card (postcard-sized), candy, and cute bobby pins! The bobby pins and the candy were pleasant surprises since Kelly, the designer for I’m Your Present, told me she would send me the panda clips. I had no idea there would be extra goodies in the sponsored package!

The panda collar clip were safe and sound nestled inside their box! I checked the item, and there are no flaws or damages.

I am happy with these adorable clips! They are very high-quality; not flimsy or cheap at all. The clips hold onto my shirt collar without slipping.

The panda design is crisp and clean. There is a layer of laser-cut white over a layer of laser-cut black for the design, which adds depth to the piece. The gem-stone panda eyes are a lovely touch! This collar clip can be worn on a variety of occasions; you can wear it casually, or you work it into a more formal coordinate. If the shirt has a collar, you can clip it on!

The gold chains are securely attached to the panda clips, secured through a small hole at the bottom of each clip. The back of each panda piece has a gold clip glued on.

Out of curiosity, I tried to use this panda collar clip as a hair clip. I love hair accessories… and you know what? It works well as a hair clip too! It didn’t pull on my hair and was comfortable to wear. It clips onto my hair as securely as it clips onto my shirt collar. ^_^ So if you don’t wear collared shirts, you can still use this cute accessory.
