LBC: What Would You Like In Future Prints

lbcThis week’s prompt is what I would like to see in future prints… And I know exactly how to answer this!

DSCN9860

My dream print is a snake print because snakes are my favorite animals. I’ve been searching for a snake print, but I have yet to find one. If you know of one, please let me know! I think it would be so cool to have a snake slithering up the skirt in the design! Another cool idea would be to have the snake circling the hem of the skirt (perhaps even biting its tail like the Ouroboros?). My dream dress with this print would be in a black colorway, with the snake printed in gold. Perhaps with gold flecks in the fabric as well? This would be really pretty as a JSK, with lace-up detailing in the front. Detachable waist ties would be a plus!

DSCN9840

Another print idea would be a forest theme with different animals, including at least one snake! An underwater theme would also be really cool… With a water snake, of course!

I can even think of cute sweet lolita print ideas with snakes. A pastel print with snakes wearing different hats would be too cute!! (Google snakes with hats if you have no idea what I’m referring to. My heart melts every time I see a snake wearing a hat.)

DSCN9846

I just really want to see a snake in a print. It could be a skirt, JSK, OP (or all three!). I think snakes are the most beautiful animals. ❤ (The above photos are of snakes at Zoo Zürich in Switzerland!)

In the photo below, I threw all of my snake jewelry together for the coordinate! This was what I wore on Halloween in 2013. I had a snake bracelet, a snake ring, a snake necklace… I’m always on the lookout for snake-themed items to wear.

I hope that someday there will be snake lolita prints!

As for other things I would like to see in future prints… I want more macaron prints! Macarons are my favorite desserts and I think they look adorable. Prints of macarons in boxes, prints of macarons piled on a platter, prints of someone eating macarons… Maybe even a print of the sky raining down macarons! There are already some macaron prints out there, and I own one JSK that has macarons in the print, but I would love to see more macaron-centric prints.

What would you like to see in future prints? Is there something you want to see more of? Feel free to comment below!

PennyDreads: Strawberry Jam

_DSC7552

Photo by Studio du Petit Oiseau

My wig sponsor Penny Dreads sent me this adorable Strawberry Jam wig. You can see my first review for them, for their Miss Tea wig in Black/Gold, in this blog post. If you want to buy something from Penny Dreads, use the coupon code “XIAORAWR” for 10% off!

Here is the package that arrived in my mailbox:

FotorCreated

Upon opening the package, I found an envelope with a glittery pink heart sticker and, of course, the wig nestled neatly in a plastic bag. Inside the envelope was a cute Thank You card! This card was a sweet touch… Thanks so much, Penny Dreads! There’s no need to thank me; I should be thanking youwig

The wig came with a hairnet, which is great! I love hairnets because they keep the wig fibers from getting tangled during transit (and during storage!). The color of the wig is a dark blonde dip-dyed in raspberry-red! I like how the dip-dye is not too stark. It looks natural, as the blonde hue fades into the red. There are even little dip-dyed bits on the bangs!

DSCN1115

The inside of the wig has the Penny Wigs tag and adjustable elastics. As you can see in the above photo, there are many wefts; it’s a nice thick wig!

My favorite shot!

I had a photoshoot featuring this wig with the photographer Studio du petit oiseau. I absolutely love the resulting photos and I hope you love them too! You can see more photos from the photoshoot in this Facebook album. All the photos from here until the end of this post are credited to Studio du petit oiseau.

The wig is really comfortable to wear! It doesn’t feel tight or loose, and since the wig circumference is adjustable, I’m sure it’ll fit you too (use the hooks on the inside of the wig). The wig fibers are soft and smooth, and the waves are gorgeous. I did not have to cut or style this wig at all; I wore it straight out of the bag. The bangs are great for a sweeping bang style! If you want straight bangs, they would be easy to trim to your liking. Since the wig is thick, you can’t see my real hair color or wig cap from the back of the wig (which is an issue with some wig brands!).

I really love the transition of colors in this Strawberry Jam wig! The raspberry red is also deliciously vibrant. Penny Dreads has other colorful wigs, so definitely check them out for a variety of gorgeous wigs. They also sell hair extensions, half wigs, and dreads. Check out their Clearance section for awesome deals! You can also use the coupon code “XIAORAWR” for 10% off your purchase. What’s your favorite wig from Penny Dreads?

No Time for Creativity: Review

Despite the name of the shop, Kathryn (the shop-owner), has a lot of creativity! If she has no time for creativity, I have no idea how she does all this. She’s a talented crafter  who makes so many different things. Check out No Time for Creativity for animal ears, PeanutPalz, hats, headbands, bows, ornaments, and more! Feel free to use the coupon code LOLITASTYLES2015 for 10% off order of $10 or more. Keep in mind that this coupon expires on December 31, 2015. DSC_0071 Kathryn shipped out the lot of amazing products in a sturdy cardboard box to guarantee protection: DSC_0027_Fotor_Collage As you can see in the above collage, the inside of the box was filled with protective foam pieces. No items were damaged during the shipping process. DSC_0029 The hats were the only items unwrapped. All the other accessories were wrapped in cute tissue paper! I was very pleased with the packaging. Here is everything unwrapped: DSC_0036 Isn’t this an awesome batch of items? No Time for Creativity sent two mini tricorn hats, one jumbo hair bow (black and pink tartan), one heart-ear headband, one cat-ear headband, two sets of bows (green tartan and red tartan), one cute little PeanutPal, and one black gothic headdress with red rose accents. You can find more PeanutPalz on No Time for Creativity‘s shop; there are so many different characters available! They are also at affordable prices, so your wallet won’t hurt. All of the accessories are super cute and affordable as well! DSC_0065 Unfortunately, I did not have the time to model all of these items. I tried my best to show off a variety of the No Time for Creativity products though, and I hope you enjoy this review nevertheless. I plan to model all the products in the future, but I was short on time since I had to move abroad for the semester. During the summer or the fall, I will definitely try to post more photos, so I hope you will continue to follow my blog. peaceFirst, take a look at these adorable red cat ears! I love stylized accessories, and this cute headband looks like cat ears, but in a unique aesthetic. The ears are full of lace, and there’s a cute bow and dangling charm on one ear. In addition, beads decorate this headband. The headband is in red too… my all-time favorite color!

BeautyPlus_20150206170248_save

I love how creative this headband is! I’ve never thought about using hearts as the ears of a headband. This headband would be so perfect for a Valentine’s Day coordinate! The hearts are filled with lace, just as the cat ears are. The blue and pink bow is a delightful touch~! I think this whimsical headband would work well for both OTT sweet lolita and fairy kei.

focal Cute jumbo bows are my life… Seriously, I developed a love for over-sized bows when I first got into lolita fashion. I think this bow is adorable and could be easily used for lolita coordinates or for gyaru coordinates (or even just for fun if you’re wearing anything cute and/or dressy)! As you can see in the above photo, the bow’s width is basically the same as my head! It’s huge, and stands out. DSC_0101 All eyes will be on you if you wear this gorgeous bow~! The bow has a French clip backing, which is one of my favorite types of clips! It is easy to clip into thick hair and wigs. The double strings of faux pearls are a lovely touch. BeautyPlus_20150217203544_saveAs some of you may know, one of my all-time favorite patterns is red tartan! I just love the way it looks. No Time for Creativity sent me a pair of adorable red tartan bows that I decided to use for a casual closet cosplay of Igiko (Nyotalia England from Hetalia). They were the perfect touch to the pigtails~! What do you think of this closet cosplay? bowWhen I received this package from No Time for Creativity, the first thing I tried on was this pair of blue/green plaid bows. These little bows were a surprising find, but it worked out well because I have a shirt that is blue/green plaid. (I actually picked up this shirt for free forever ago at a yard sale… xD) barrettes In any case, the bow and the shirt matched well and I am pleased with this casual-cute look. The dangling beads add to the whimsical cuteness of these bows! gothic My favorite piece of all is probably this beautiful headdress. Black x Red is my favorite color combination, and I love how the headdress looks with the elegant black veil and dramatic splash of red roses. The headdress has a clip on the back, so it attaches very easily. It stays put too; I never had a problem with this accessory shifting about. This gothic accessory is perfect for a gothic lolita coordinate (especially a black/red one)! You may recognize this headdress from my blog post about Penny Dreads’ Miss Tea wig and my blog post about the Amethyst Ways necklace. The coat I am wearing in this photo is from Putumayo, and it was a lucky find from Lacemarket.

Here is a brief note from Kathryn: “I would also like to say that shipping is free to anyone in the US, and I absolutely love custom orders. Easily 1/3 of my items have come from custom orders. I have found that all of my customers have a fun, creative side, and I want to help them express it.”

Free shipping is awesome, so if you live in the USA, please take advantage of this great deal! Feel free to submit custom orders to No Time for Creativity.
