Japan Candy Box Review & Giveaway

Japan Candy Box

Have you ever tried the Japan Candy Box? I’m so excited to share this fun box with you! The box I received was a Halloween themed one. Even though it’s no longer Halloween, Halloween is my favorite holiday and I’d be happy to eat these adorable Halloween-themed treats from Japan all year round. Japan Candy Box is also sponsoring a GIVEAWAY so you can win your own FREE Japan Candy Box! Click here to enter, or use the widget at the end of this post. The giveaway ends at 11:59PM on March 17th, 2021.

Check out my Japan Candy Box opening on Youtube!

See below for a photo of everything that came in the box:

So many adorable Halloween-themed goodies from Japan! The first snack I tried was the Halloween Night Baby Star Ramen Snacks (Limited Edition). It’s basically a crispy chicken flavor ramen snack (mashed up ramen noodles, but you can eat it as is). Savory and addicting! I wish there was a bigger bag! After I tried this savory snack, I tried something sweet: the Spooky Halloween Black Thunder Choco Bar. This chocolate bar was a combination of dark chocolate and cookie chunks and crispy rice puffs. It was a delightful combination! The Witch’s Brew Mix & Match Gumballs were a fun idea, although I couldn’t figure out the flavors. They just taste fruity and sweet! I tried some by themselves, and tried some mixed together. All of them tasted yummy!

My favorite snack is the one you see below though: the Bokun Habanero Spicy Potato Rings! It’s not spicy at all though, but maybe that’s because I’m used to eating a lot of spicy food. It is rated with 5 peppers on the bag, but I’d say it’s only about 1 pepper. Mildly spicy, but so delicious!

Have you tried any of these snacks before? If so, share your favorites in the comments! Be sure to enter the giveaway here.

Summer Kawaii Box Giveaway & Review

Hi everyone! Thank you to all who entered my first Kawaii Box giveaway, and congratulations to the winner. It was really fun to open up my first Kawaii Box, and I’m super excited to share my second Kawaii Box with you all!

Good luck, everyone! Read on to see my review of this box.

There were soooo many cute stuff in July’s box! As usual, even the box itself is super cute. I love the neon pink print!

The box was lined with its cute signature tissue paper, and it was full of kawaii goodies.

The July 2020 Box’s theme is Sanrio Summer Splash. I love Sanrio characters, and I got lucky with this little haul. I adore the Little Twin Stars socks; I think these socks are my favorite surprise in this box! I haven’t tried the Gudetama or Hello Kitty treats yet but I will soon. I love trying new snacks and candies, and I’m pleased that there were two treats in this box. In my last box, I got one treat – and those soda chocolates were so delicious! I ate them all too quickly and want some more.

I also got 4 stationery items in this box – a roll of washi tape, a hamster pen, sticky notes, and a mini letterhead/envelope set! And last but not least, a cute Pompompurin mini plush zip pouch. I really loved this Sanrio-themed box, and would recommend Kawaii Box to all fans of kawaii culture. Even if you’re not too familiar with kawaii culture, you’d love this box if you enjoy cute and fun surprises. This box would also make a great gift for a friend or family member!

Which are your favorites from the box I got? If you got your own Kawaii Box, please share what you got too! I love seeing the variety of items in everyone’s boxes. And remember – click this link to enter and get chances to win your own free Kawaii Box!

LBC: Plan Your Ideal Holiday Trip To Tokyo For Frills

lbc

This week’s prompt is to plan your ideal holiday trip to Tokyo for frills! For this dream vacation, let’s just pretend I’m rich and can afford to go on a shopping spree (and buy ALL THE THINGS)… because I’m going to make a huge list of place I want to shop! Realistically, it would mostly be window shopping. But I definitely want to see these stores in person at least. For my ideal holiday trip, I would love to go with family and friends, but I think a big group would be difficult to manage (unless we split up into smaller groups upon arrival). Maybe groups of 2 or 3 people would be ideal? I’m not sure, but I wouldn’t want to go around alone (especially since I have absolutely no sense of direction). I will focus mostly on frills-related shops, but I will also branch out into my other interests. If I’m planning a dream trip to Tokyo, I might as well include everything I’m interested in, right?

Shopping Spree Time: Harajuku

FIRST, I’m going to list places in Harajuku that I want to shop at, and then move on to other stores I want to visit, other places I want to go, etc. (And I would love to hang out in Harajuku multiple times!)

  • Laforet (Harajuku)  …So many stores I want to see in here!
    • Atelier Pierrot
    • Alice and the Pirates
    • Angelic Pretty

    • Les Merveilleuses LADURÉE

    • Swimmer
    • Super Lovers
  • Daiso … for cheap but cute things! (I heard there’s a really big one in Harajuku :D)
  • Check out stores along Takeshita St.

If I go to Harajuku, I would love to wear lolita coordinates while I shop! Maybe one day I could wear a sweet lolita coord, and another day I could wear a gothic lolita coord.

Stores / Shopping Places to find:

Now, here’s a huge list of various stores and shopping places I want to find. Some of these are lolita brands, some are gyaru, some are offbrand (or even just souvenir shops or discount shops).

  • Studio Alta
  • Shinjuku Marui Annex
  • Thank You Mart (cheap stuff!)

Other fun things to do:

  • Purikura~!
  • Play a game of Pachinko
  • Visit shrines and temples

  • Go to an Onsen
  • Gachapon! (Maybe at Shinjuku Yodobashi…)
  • Walk through parks and gardens
  • Go to a maid café (maybe in Akihabara!)

Shopping for my anime/manga fandom needs:

And here is where I can satisfy my otaku cravings… official anime merchandise, cosplay-related things, doujinshi, and more!

Bucket List of Specific Places:

These are places that are on my bucket list… I really want to see all of them if possible!

…And I’m sure there are many more things I would love to do! I apologize for the messiness of this post; had to write this as quickly as possible since I want to post it on time for the Lolita Blog Carnival.

Are there any places you would like to go on your ideal trip to Tokyo that is not listed on here? Please let me know, and maybe I’ll add it to this list too! 😀
