Lolitas at Conbust 2013!

Sophie (a fellow student) and I ran a Lolita panel called Lolita Fashion 101 at Conbust this year. It was my first year attending Conbust, and I also had the opportunity to be on con staff as well as run two panels and co-host the cosplay contest. It was a really busy and hectic weekend, but it was also a great con! For a small con, there were a huge array of activities, events, and panels. It was so great to be able to see cosplayers and Lolitas around campus for the weekend. 🙂

For the Lolita Fashion 101 panel, Sophie and I made a Prezi presentation. We discussed the history of Lolita fashion, major Lolita fashion brands and companies, Lolita substyles, and what goes into making a Lolita coord. We also gave advice for Lolitas on a budget and took questions from the audience. People came with great questions! I was really happy with the crowd we had. We even had time to let volunteers come up to explain their coordinates. Everyone looked so cute and cool!

Here is a mini group photo of Sophie, me, and a few other attendees:

I can’t wait for next year’s Conbust!

Also, as for upcoming posts… I might compile a bunch of casual coords I’ve done and write about casual lolita. Sometimes I don’t feel comfortable going all-out in Lolita when I’m by myself and in public. I am still trying to build up my self-confidence to wear full lolita in public and on my own… But casual lolita is something that I am confident enough to wear by myself at the moment. 🙂

I will also try my best to participate in more Lolita Blog Carnival prompts! ❤
