[YesStyle] Winter Haul Part 2: Fashion

On top of any YesStyle sales going on at the moment, use my code “3PEARLS” to get an additional discount off your entire order!

You can check out my First Haul, Spring Haul, and Summer Haul too. Part 1 of my Winter Haul is focused on the beauty products I got, which you can read here.

I did not have a Fall/Autumn haul, so here’s my winter haul! I put the beauty products from this haul in Part 1 of my Winter Haul review. Here’s the YesStyle haul at a glance:

Everything I got was on sale! YesStyle always has great sales going on, and you can get discounts on fashion, K-beauty, J-beauty, home goods, jewelry, shoes, and more! If you use their app, you can also get free gifts with your orders.

Let’s talk about the accessories first…

  • Loville – Thigh High Socks – ★★★★★ – Love these socks! They’re high-quality and comfortable. Exactly as pictured online. Great price! I was definitely impressed by the quality considering how cheap they are.
  • Reiro – Printed Chiffon Bow Hair Clip – ★★★★★ – This floral chiffon bow is so cute! I had trouble choosing which bow to get since all the designs and colors are adorable, but I decided to try the light blue with white daisies since I don’t have any light blue hair accessories yet. Highly recommend this bow hair clip!
  • SURELIN – Heart Layered Faux Leather Garter  – ★★★★★ – This garter is soooo cute! Love the heart detail. I bought the black garter from YesStyle before too, as part of my Summer Haul. The pink garter is equally perfect and cute! I haven’t had the opportunity to wear it yet, but I’d like to coordinate this with some of my pastel looks, and maybe create a pastel-punk look.
  • Pouffle – Heart Choker – ★★★★★ – This choker is so cute, and even though it’s from a different brand, it matches the pink garter I got perfectly. If you want a matching set, definitely buy both of these in pink! I bought the white heart choker from YesStyle before too, as part of my Summer Haul. I wore this heart choker with my kawaii look for Christmas.
  • YUGGI – Faux Pearl Pendant Layered Choker – ★★★★★ – Super impressed with this choker! It’s two layers, and sometimes they get tangled in storage, but that happens a lot with my necklaces. It’s pretty easy to detangle. I have sensitive skin, but wearing this necklace never irritated my skin. I’ve worn it many times already. It’s a very elegant piece of jewelry and also easy to match with outfits. I’m wearing this necklace in the first photo on this blog post.
  • EROPIA – Set: Floral Print Off-Shoulder Crop Top + Mini Skirt – ★★★☆☆ – So the listing was misleading for this one. I thought it was a top and skirt set, but the skirt is actually a sarong. It wraps around and ties. I think this would be more suited as a swimsuit coverup. If you wear the miniskirt like so, you’d risk flashing everyone. The quality is also not the best, and the fabric feels cheap. The sleeves on the top are also super tight; similar problem to the Asymmetric Short-Sleeve Plaid Cropped Blouse / A-Line Skirt I bought as part of my Summer Haul.
  • Dute – Asymmetric Sleeveless Midi A-Line Dress – ★★★★☆ – Love the punky design of this black dress! It’s a midi-length, although since I’m short, it’s almost maxi length on me. The fabric is the type that wrinkles super easily, so I knocked off one star for that. I also had to trim a bunch of loose threads. I haven’t worn this dress yet, but I’m debating whether to wear it by itself or layered over a sheer shirt first. Either way, this dress will look cool!
  • NENE – Long-Sleeve Paneled Mini A-Line Plaid Dress – ★★★★☆ – The design of this dress is so elegant and cute! The plaid has some glitter in it, which I didn’t notice from the stock photos. It’s true to size, and this dress is almost perfect. The only thing I didn’t like about it were the straps with buttons around the wrists because they constantly fall off. My wrists are really small, so I have the same issue with bangles, but I thought these straps would be fine since they have buttons – but they don’t go tight enough, plus there’s only one belt loop for them on each wrist. It would be more effective to have at least 2 belt loops on each wrist so the straps don’t fall off.
  • Aigan – Rabbit Embroidered Cardigan – ★★★★★ – Wow, this cardigan is so cute and cozy!! I love the design and colors, and the fabric is super soft. It comes in white, black, and pink colorways, so I chose the pink one but all 3 colorways are really cute. Definitely check out this cardigan sweater! Perfect for fairy kei or any kawaii look.
  • chuu – Super Skinny -5kg Jeans vol.14 – ★★★★☆ – Thick and high-quality jeans in a very light blue color. They were tight on me, but I probably should have sized up. I got the Sky Blue color is size 27 but I think 28 would have been better. Jeans are hard for me to shop for since even in the USA, I wear a wide variety of sizes (I’ve worn everything from 25 to 29, and also 4 petite, 6 petite, size Small, etc.). I struggled to get into these, but I’ve worn them a few times and they’re comfy when you get used to them. I do wish they were more stretchy! If you get these jeans, size up.

Overall, this was a great haul! The only item I was truly disappointed in was the Eropia set. I’ll probably avoid the Eropia brand in the future on YesStyle… (Hopefully I’ll remember!) Are there any brands you’re trying to avoid?

YesStyle: Summer Haul

Choker, T-shirt, and Chain Belt from YesStyle

Hi everyone! It’s September now, but I’ve been super busy so I haven’t had the chance to write up my YesStyle Summer Haul until now. On top of any sales going on at the moment, use my code “3PEARLS” to get an additional discount off your entire order!

You can check out my First Haul and my Spring Haul too.

For my summer haul, I got a bunch of clothes and accessories … and YesStyle also sent me a beauty product to review. Read on to check it all out! Feel free to read about my past hauls too: My First Haul and My Spring Haul.

Let’s go over the accessories I purchased first! Then, I’ll move onto the clothing (and saving the beauty product for last.)

  1. Alloy Heart Choker – ★★★★★ – Looks just like the photos online! Love this choker. I only wore it once, but it didn’t irritate my skin like some alloy necklaces (I have sensitive skin and tend to get rashes from alloy jewelry). Since it was so cheap (about $2), I took the risk and I’m glad I did! It’s really cute.
  2. Heart Layered Faux Leather Garter in black – ★★★★★ – I was worried about the sizing because I didn’t want it to be too tight around my thigh, but this was super comfortable and stretchy! The faux leather is decent quality too, and I’m tempted to get another one in a different color…
  3. Heart Choker in white – ★★★★☆ – This white heart choker is really cute! It has a snap button in the back and a few options to fit different neck circumferences. It’s comfy to wear, but the faux leather isn’t very high quality. After wearing it for the first time, there was some creases and peeling. It’s only about $3 though, so I can’t complain much. Stil rating this 4 stars!
  4. Metal Heart Waist Chain – ★★★★★ – Love this heart waist chain! It’s so cute and would go great around both skirts and shorts (or even over a dress!). It matches the Alloy Heart Choker perfectly too. If you want a matching choker and waist chain, I highly recommend that you get both of these.

5. Asymmetric Short-Sleeve Plaid Cropped Blouse / A-Line Skirt –  ★★★☆☆ – This set is soooo cute! If you want to buy both, make sure to select both items and add to your cart (it’ll show up like two different purchases). You need to add the blouse and the skirt to your cart separately. I got this set in Size M and the skirt fit (fully elastic waist, which I love!). The top has shirring in the back, but this was too big/too loose around my bust. I think this top will be better for someone who is bustier than me (alas, I’m very flat-chested…). Giving 3 stars since I wish it was easier to buy it as a set, and wish that the measurements were more accurate for the bust. I only tried this set on at home briefly and took some photos, but it’s like new! Feel free to purchase it from me here on Depop. 😉

6. Square Neck Puff Sleeve Blouse – ★★★★☆ – I haven’t worn this blouse yet, but it is very cute and fits well! I knocked off a star because the fabric is more thin than I expected (kind of see-through), and came with loose threads. It’s a beautiful red color though, and I look forward to wearing this blouse!

7. Sheer Short-Sleeve T-Shirt – ★★★★★ – Love this shirt! It’s high quality, and the photo does not do it justice. It has a beautiful shift in color and a metallic tint. It’s sheer mesh, but looks really cool with a funky bra under it. You can also style it with a camisole, or even wear it under something (like under a jumper!). There’s a lot you can do with this T-shirt.

8. Ruffled Camisole in pink – ★★★★★ – I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this camisole! It was so cheap that I was expecting the quality to be low, but it’s even nicer quality than the camisoles I got from H&M. It’s a comfy and stretchy ribbed texture, and I’m glad the straps are fine as well (if straps aren’t adjustable, I tend to have issues with the straps being too long due to my small shoulders).

9. Short-Sleeve Bustier Crop Top – ★★★★☆ – This is a super cute top, but it’s too big around the bust for me (even with a push-up bra). It would be better suited for someone bustier! The quality is not the best though, and I had to snip off a lot of loose threads.

10. Shirred Ruffled Cropped Camisole Top in red – ★★★★☆ – This is a really cute camisole top, and it has adjustable shoulder straps. However, the fabric was way shinier in person than I expected. In the photo above, I did not use flash. So you can imagine how bright/shiny it’ll look if flash photography is used! It’s still a beautiful camisole though. I’m just not sure I can wear it often.

11. Halter Top – ★★★★★ – I was really impressed with this halter top! I never had a halter top before, so this is my first one (unless you count halter swimsuits). This is a ribbed ivory/cream colored halter. It’s cropped but not too cropped, and you tie it around your neck. It’s super comfortable to wear and really flattering! The quality is great. From the product listing, you can also get the matching jeans, as seen here.

12. Lace-Up High-Waist Denim Shorts in dark blue – ★★★★☆ – Love these shorts! They’re so comfy and cute, and I love the lace-up details. I knocked off a star because they didn’t come pre-laced, and there were a lot of loose threads. Sizing was accurate and this fit comfortably! You can also tighten it / adjust the size a bit with the lacing (pull it tighter if you want it to be smaller). I am tempted to get another, but I’m not sure if I want one in black or one in light blue…

13. Cutout Shorts★★★★☆ – So in my Spring Haul, I got the Cutout-Side Pleated A-Line Skort, but this was not an accurate listing because it was just the overskirt and did not have shorts with it. I got these shorts to go with it, and they match perfectly even though it’s from another set! The quality isn’t the best, but it is cute and comfortable. The material is super stretchy. There’s a side zipper as well.

14. Plaid Pleated Mini Skirt in pink – ★★★★★ – I love this skirt so much! The material is thin and perfect for summer, and it’s actually a skort – it has built-in safety shorts! There’s a side zipper but the material is stretchy too. This skirt comes in different colors too, so if pink isn’t your style, you can choose another color!

15. Lace-Up Pleated Mini Skirt in white – ★★★★☆ – Really cute white skirt (technically a skort; again, it has built-in safety shorts!). It didn’t come laced up, so similar to the Lace-Up High-Waist Denim Shorts, I had to lace them up myself. There were also loose threads I had to clip off. It’s comfy to wear! I noticed it’s out of stock, but I found a similar one here you can buy.

16. Gingham Mini Skirt – ★★★★★ – I was really impressed with the quality of this skirt! It’s super stretchy and comfy, and looks very flattering. I love the gingham pattern and ruffle hem. It’s even better quality than the skirts I have from H&M and Forever21.

17. THE PLANT BASE – Time Stop Collagen Ampoule – ★★★★★ – Click here for my Instagram post and review about this product. I wrote the review 5 weeks ago, after I used the product for over a week. I used it every morning and night, and I just finished using the product (it lasted me about 7 weeks). I applied this after my toner and before my moisturizer. It was the first product I tried from The Plant Base, and I’m curious about their other products. I really like the packaging; it has a unique dropper style! Another beauty product I reviewed is the Beauty of Joseon Revitalize Sleeping Mask, which you can also get from YesStyle!

[LBC] 5 Surprise Finds That You Didn’t Realize You Would Enjoy So Much

This week’s prompt is “5 Surprise Finds That You Didn’t Realize You Would Enjoy So Much!”

I’m sure everyone has encountered surprise finds, whether it was an impulse buy, a gift from a friend, or something you saw and unexpectedly felt a pull toward it, even though you normally wouldn’t gravitate toward something like that.

AATP Starlit Sky Tent and the Secret Circus Troupe JSK I

1) This JSK was truly a surprise for me, because I got it from a lucky pack and had no idea what I was going to get (other than it being from the Alice and the Pirates brand). The name of the JSK is Starlit Sky Tent and the Secret Circus Troupe JSK I, in the blue colorway. I was hoping for something in red or bordeaux, so at first, I was disappointed when I saw the color. But I grew to love it’s unique print and beautiful design, and I’ve worn this dress often!

image
Red Mary Janes from Wolky

2) These Wolky red Mary Jane shoes were a surprise find in a small locally-owned shoe store near my college campus. They were on clearance sale, so I got a good deal on them, and at first, I wasn’t sure if they’d truly be comfortable since they have heels. But I’ve worn these walking, dancing, etc. and they’re really comfortable and well-made shoes! I love Lolita tea party shoes, but unfortunately, they’re not really made for walking and aren’t comfortable. As someone with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and flat feet, I also need arch supports. And these shoes have built-in arch supports! Even without my custom orthotics, they are comfortable. Sneakers are more comfortable though, but I rarely wear sneakers with Lolita fashion. I’ve worn these Wolky shoes with almost all of my red colorway coords.

Bodyline Black Wristcuffs

3) These black Bodyline wristcuffs were a surprise find, and honestly I wasn’t expecting much… but they’re so cute and I’ve worn them for so many coords! They’re really versatile and work well for both gothic and sweet (bittersweet) coordinates. They’ve also held up well; the elastic hasn’t become over-stretched.

Vintage Gloves (Photo by Ameily)

4) These vintage French crochet gloves were totally a surprise find from a Parisian flea market. They were damaged though and I’m scared to wear them much because they’re quite fragile. But I enjoy them so much, even if it’s just gazing at them. I store them in a clear ziploc bag, and they are stored in a container in a very visible place in my room, so even though I’ve had them for years, I still like to look at them. Occasionally, I’ll wear them out with coords!

F21 Goldtone Ring with Ivory Rose

5) This goldtone ring with an ivory rose was something I found years ago in Forever21. When I first got it, I wasn’t too into it, but as I built my Lolita fashion wardrobe, I found myself wearing it more and more often. It’s very easy to match with various colors, and it fits comfortably on my middle finger. It’s a versatile ring that will look great with non-Lolita coordinates too. And it’s sturdy! Many of my rings have broken if I drop them, or they get scratched and discolored, but this ring still loks practically new.
